Your Mum Won't Repair Your Clothes Any More, but Patagonia Will

The Patagonia Worn Wear Tour > Your Mum

There are many stages in a man's life. First steps, first kiss, first suit, first job, first time your mum refuses to mend your favourite item of clothing because you're an adult in the 21st century and mothers have better things to do than act the seamstress. What to do in that situation? Bin it? Employ a reputable tailor? No – get outdoor clothing brand Patagonia to fix it and teach you how to do it yourself next time… at least for the next few weeks.

See, the Patagonia Worn Wear Tour begins on Friday 15th April, with the brand setting up shop for 13 days in locations around the UK. The Patagonia team promise to make good busted zippers, rips, tears, buttons, pulls and more on any item of clothing (from any brand, not just their own), as well as reminding you of all that stuff you would have learned in Home Ec if you'd been paying attention.

As well as prolonging the life of your favourite clothes and saving you having to fork out for a replacement, Patagonia's hoping to benefit the environment by avoiding the resource consumption and waste that's part and parcel of making clothes.

Here's Patagonia climbing ambassador Sean Villanueva O'Driscoll talking about why and how he keeps the clothes he loves going.

Here's where the tour is stopping and when:
